Compassion USA campaigns peacefully to end all factory farming practices. We believe that the biggest cause of cruelty on the planet deserves a focused, specialized approach – so we are relentlessly focused on ending factory farming.

Our vision is a world where farmed animals are treated with compassion and respect.

Compassion advocates on behalf of all areas that are detrimentally impacted by factory farming, including: animals, the environment, public health, and community and workers’ justice.

95% of all factory farmed animals in the US are chickens raised for meat (also known as broilers), negatively affecting nearly 9 billion animals per year. That is why Compassion USA has set out to tackle this key area with our flagship campaign, the Better Chicken Initiative. We will continue to work throughout the US to reform what we see as one of the most pressing issues of our time.
